About Us
Discover our story, our beliefs and the people who help our church family grow in faith and love.
History
King’s Church began in a hairdressing salon in Swansea city centre in 2005. After meeting at several city-centre venues, the Swansea congregation made its permanent home in Townhill.
Our church family has since grown to include a congregation in Llanelli town centre.
King’s Church Network brings King’s Churches together as one family, with room for more locations as the network grows. Each local church serves its own community, united by our faith in Jesus.
Throughout our journey, we have kept Jesus and people at the heart of everything we do. Explore Our Locations to find your local King’s Church.
Our Core Beliefs
The Bible
We believe the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative and relevant to everyday life.
One God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit
We believe in one eternal God, the Creator of all things. He exists as three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is completely loving and holy.
Sin and separation from God
We believe sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is both God and man, and the only One who can restore our relationship with God. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross in our place and rose again, demonstrating His victory and giving us new life.
Forgiveness and new life
We believe that to receive forgiveness and new life in Jesus, we must turn away from sin, believe in Him and follow His will for our lives.
Baptism and the Holy Spirit
We believe we need to be baptised in water and filled with the power of the Holy Spirit to live the holy and fruitful lives God intends for us. The Holy Spirit enables us to use spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues.
Life together as a church
We believe the church has an important and powerful role in God’s purpose. Believers need to meet regularly to share life together, pray and celebrate communion—the breaking of bread.
Our gifts and purpose
We believe God has equipped each of us to fulfil His purpose: to worship Him, play our part in the church and serve our community.
Healing and transformation
We believe God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and blessed lives and help others more effectively.
Eternity
We believe our response to Jesus Christ determines our eternal destination—Heaven or Hell.
Jesus will return
We believe Jesus Christ will return, as He promised.
Prayer
We believe in the power of prayer. Personal prayer and prayer together are central to our church life, activities and service.
Meet Our Pastors
Our pastoral team works together to lead and support King’s Church Network.
Dave & Emma
Senior Pastors
More…Less…
Born and raised in Swansea, Pastor Dave Morgan has a story of a life transformed by Jesus. Before becoming a pastor, he worked as a bouncer and was a karate champion. Behind those achievements, however, he was struggling with drug addiction.
An encounter with Jesus Christ changed the direction of Dave’s life. As he turned to Jesus and received His love and grace, he found a new purpose: sharing the good news and helping others discover the abundant life found in Him.
Dave and his wife, Emma, share a deep connection with King’s Church Swansea. It is the church where they became Christians, were married, baptised and ordained. Together, they have led and cared for the church family over many years, and their ministry has also grown to include a church in Llanelli.
Dave has a heart for those who do not yet know Jesus. Through teaching and preaching the Bible, he encourages people to trust God’s promises and live with confidence in their faith, whatever challenges they face.
At the heart of Dave and Emma’s leadership is a simple invitation: “Come as you are.” They want King’s to be a welcoming church family where people can build friendships, grow in faith and experience the love of Jesus through their relationships with one another.
Alongside their pastoral team, Dave and Emma continue to serve with a passion for seeing lives changed by God’s grace. Their desire is to help people discover their true identity in Christ and walk in the fullness of the life He offers.
Chris & Sarah
Associate Pastors
More…Less…
Chris and Sarah have been married since 2007 and have three beautiful children. Chris is an associate pastor and a former gambling addict who gave his life to Jesus on the 19th May 2016. Sarah became a Christian shortly afterwards and has been set free from depression in Jesus’ name.
Together, they run an estate planning business helping Christians leave an inheritance to their children’s children, inspired by Proverbs 13:22. Their heart is to honour Jesus, serve families and give Him the glory for what He has done in their lives.
Chris loves playing pool, and Sarah loves holidays!
Darren & Ingke
Associate Pastors
More…Less…
Pastor Darren was born prematurely on 17 August 1971, weighing just over one pound. He had a hole in his heart, underdeveloped lungs, chronic asthma and other complications. When doctors told his parents to prepare for the worst, his father fell to his knees and prayed: “Lord, if You heal him, we will dedicate him to You.” A week later, Darren was healed and breathing unaided. The doctors and nurses gave him the nickname “Hercules”.
Darren grew up in a family devoted to ministry and has known the Lord for most of his life. His father was mentored by the late healing evangelist A. A. Allen. His mother had a singing ministry and was the niece of songwriter Sally Bills, whose songs included “It’s No Longer I That Liveth, but Christ That Lives in Me”.
The family travelled and ministered throughout the UK and abroad. Darren, his brother and his sister would sing alongside their mother before their father preached. His grandparents were involved in the healing ministries of George and Stephen Jeffreys, and the family also took part in the Henri revivals in Newark during the 1970s. Darren fondly remembers sitting on Henri Staples’ lap and talking about God. Henri had been baptised in the 1920s when Smith Wigglesworth laid hands on him.
Darren’s heart for ministry was evident from an early age. When he was six, his father found him standing in his bedroom with a Bible in his hand, preaching about freedom in Jesus to a row of teddy bears on his bed.
Darren and Ingke, whose name is pronounced “Inka”, met and married in Shrewsbury in 2011 before moving to Wales in 2012. They were called to King’s Church Swansea in December 2018 and immediately joined the pastoral care team. After four years of serving, Darren was ordained as a pastor.
Asked what difference ordination had made, Darren replied: “None at all! I just continue doing what I’ve always done. A pastor isn’t a pastor by title, but by heart.” He leads the midweek Knect Bible study alongside Pastor Martin and looks after the church’s technology, including sound, media and the website.
Ingke was born in Hameln, Germany, in July 1978. She attended church as a teenager and has always sensed God’s hand on her life. Although she was confirmed in a traditional church, she felt there was more to discover in her relationship with Him. After meeting Darren, their conversations about God would continue into the early hours, deepening her faith and enthusiasm. She was baptised in Shrewsbury after they married.
Ingke has a heart for children and leads King’s Kids Church. She also runs a childminding business from home and is passionate about nurturing children, recognising their place in the future of the church.
Together, Darren and Ingke have a heart for prayer and lead the King’s morning prayer meeting online through Zoom. They also serve on the worship team: Darren plays the drums, and Ingke is learning the keyboard. Their shared desire is for revival and to see the Spirit of God moving across Wales once again.

Kingsley & Gloria
Associate Pastors
More…Less…
Prince Kingsley Ugbodu has a deep sense of God’s calling on his life. He believes the Lord set him apart from his mother’s womb to share the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ and its power to save and transform lives.
Born in Nigeria and now a German national, Kingsley became a Christian at a young age through the Church of God Mission in Nigeria. In the early 1980s, he moved to Germany, where he became an active member of Gott Mission in Heidenheim.
In 2002, he joined Christ Embassy in Hounslow, London. Over the years, he served as a cell leader, minister, co-ordinator and pastor, and helped to establish churches.
Kingsley moved to Wales to study in 2006 and founded Christ Embassy Swansea. In 2017, he established Easy Gospel to help believers understand their faith and support those struggling with questions about Christian doctrine.
In 2021, he joined King’s Church Swansea and became part of the pastoral team under the leadership of Pastor David Morgan. Kingsley and Gloria now serve as Associate Pastors within King’s Church Network.
At the heart of Kingsley’s ministry is a desire to share the good news of Jesus. He describes himself, above all, as a minister of the new covenant.
Our Vision
King’s Church is more than a Sunday gathering. We want everyone to feel part of the church family, grow in their faith and use their gifts to serve others.
Connect with God
Jesus is at the centre of our church. Through worship, prayer and the Bible, we grow in our relationship with Him and find strength for everyday life.
Connect with others
Our Knect Groups help us build friendships, support one another and enjoy life together.
Use your gifts
Everyone has something to contribute. Whether you serve refreshments, play an instrument, lead a group or help in another way, you can make a difference in our church and community.
Share the love of Jesus
We want our families, friends and communities to experience God’s love through our words, actions and practical service.
Our invitation is simple: come as you are. There is a place for you here.
